Excavator Operator (Hydraulic Excavators)

Job Description

As an Excavator Operator, you are the vital starting point of every construction phase, responsible for the heavy lifting, deep trenching, and complex site preparation that allows modern Italy to grow.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma (12 years of schooling).
  • Mandatory:Heavy Vehicle Driving License and Technical Certification for Earthmoving Machinery.
  • Highly Desirable: Technical certification or ITI in Earthmoving Machinery/Mechanic Motor Vehicle.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of documented experience as an Excavator Operator on large-scale civil or industrial projects.
  • Machine Control: Expert-level mastery of hydraulic excavators, including smooth 360-degree rotations and bucket precision.
  • Technical Tasks: Proven experience in trenching for utilities, digging foundations, grading slopes, and managing stabilizer placement on uneven terrain.
  • Safety Awareness: Deep understanding of “Danger Zones,” specifically managing arm movements near overhead power lines and ground workers.
  • Maintenance: Skilled in daily inspections checking gaskets, hydraulic levels, and ensuring the machine is lubricated and site-ready.

Other Requirements:

  • Age: 25–40 years.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Language: Basic English (Mandatory) and 100% readiness to undergo Italian language training.
  • Technical Proof: A mandatory video showing you driving the machine, opening stabilizers, and performing a precise digging/dumping cycle.

Desirable Additional Skills:

  • Experience operating “Mechanical Shovels” (MCT) or Backhoe Loaders.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting for minor on-site hydraulic or electrical faults.
  • Familiarity with reading site-level markers and depth charts.
