Iron Worker (Blacksmith/Ferraiolo)

Job Description

Imagine contributing to the structural backbone of Italy’s most ambitious architectural projects—shaping the steel that reinforces the nation’s future bridges, tunnels, and skyscrapers. As an Iron Worker (Blacksmith), you are the master of reinforcement, responsible for the strength and integrity of every concrete pour.

This is not just manual labor; it is a Specialized Technical Migration opportunity to earn prestigious European certifications and build a high-income career in the heart of the Mediterranean. You will be responsible for interpreting complex structural drawings, cutting and bending steel reinforcement bars (rebar), and assembling the intricate cages that define modern infrastructure. The role requires physical stamina, extreme technical precision, and a commitment to European safety standards.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma (12 years of schooling).
  • Desirable: ITI Certification or Technical Diploma in Welder/Blacksmith/Fitter trades.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience as a Construction Iron Worker or Reinforcement Fitter (As per “Sourced” requirement).
  • Blueprint Mastery: Proven ability to read and interpret executive structural drawings and rebar schedules.
  • Technical Skills: Expert in cutting, bending, and tying steel reinforcement bars using both manual and power tools.
  • Assembly: Experience in assembling heavy rebar cages for columns, beams, slabs, and foundations.
  • Machine Operation: Familiarity with automatic bending and cutting machines is a major advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • Age: 25–40 years.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Language: Basic English (Mandatory) and 100% readiness to undergo Italian language training.
  • Technical Proof: A video demonstrating your ability to read a structural drawing and accurately tie a rebar intersection is mandatory for selection.

Desirable Additional Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of welding (ARC/MIG) for tack-welding reinforcement.
  • Experience in “Pre-cast” yards or large-scale civil engineering projects (Dams, Metros, Highways).
  • Strong understanding of “Cover” requirements and the use of spacers to ensure concrete durability.
